Stories of Sound is an audio series that delves into sound arts and audio storytelling, offering listeners a window into the creative process and the challenges and inspirations of artists, authors and theorists who tell stories through sound. It features leading figures in the international audio storytelling and sound art community, including (in Season 1) sound artists Hildegard Westerkamp and Annea Lockwood, radio producers Eleanor McDowall and Axel Kacoutié (BBC), writer Rick Moody, and scholar Siobhan McHugh.
The show’s creator and curator, Riccardo Giacconi, teaches at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University. The show is narrated by Megan Hyde, with additional editing by Marion Nicvert. It’s produced with support from the Faculty Research Awards Committee, School of Arts & Sciences at Tufts University.
